I have found Amazon's customer service dreadful or beyond.

I made the msitake of signing up for their dvd rental plan and after 6 months or so had to cancel it because I was poste overseas. I cancelled it before leaving. They mailed me some more DVDs after I had cancelled and left the country (I never received them for that matter) and then they had the nerve to charge me 15 GBP per DVD.

Just don't bother - they are absolutely not worth it. Downloading DVDs fro itunes is a much better bet and less costly.
